Eating the Elephant
(not sure who this photo belongs to,
if you know msg me so I can give credit where it's due)
Great news, friends! I'm happy to report that thanks to some wonderful medication and the AMAZING (totally being sincere here) Lord above, my headaches are improving and the fatigue I've been experiencing isn't as bad. Laziness on the other hand, is tempting and fun but, I digress.
Bad news though, my house is INSANE. The dust bunnies aren't living under the couch anymore - they've taken residence on the ceiling fan, blinds, bookshelves. The tub needs cleaning. The Laundry Mountains have risen up in the bedrooms and you can't tell the clean ones from the dirty ones any more.
Needless to say, month after month of feeling "bad" and "out of it" have taken their toll and it's time for me to do my annual "Fall/Winter Cleaning".
Q: "Where do you start?"
A: "One bite at a time."
That didn't make sense unless you know the old idiom - "How do you eat an elephant?"... "One bite at a time"
That's what I'm doing with my house.
One thing at a time.
Tonight - laundry mountains
Tomorrow night - bathrooms (me), bedrooms (hubby and son)
Wednesday night - organizing books & decor
Thursday night - dusting
Friday night - floors
Saturday - cleaning the church, clean the van
Sunday - get ready for the week
